About Legwork

Cyclist This Way
Information is everywhere. And it is easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer number of voices offering advice on any given subject. The trick nowadays is only taking in the information that you actually need.

The problem is we are all busy. We don’t have the time to seek out the experts and the reliable sources to find the exact information that we need.

And that is why Legwork was born.

Our aim in launching the site was to help everyone interested in health, fitness, and cycling in general, as well as those who want to lead a healthier lifestyle, find the right kind of information. The information that they need.

We work hard to carefully craft our content so that we can provide you with all the practical hints and tips that you need to get going.

No matter what level of fitness you are – whether you are a complete beginner, an intermediate, a seasoned one, or even a semi-pro – we aim to cover everything relevant to you. From workout tips, supplement reviews, bikes to accessories, gear to training guides, and even the odd inspirational story, we always aim to do it properly and comprehensively, so you don’t have to.

The Legwork Team

Adam Steel

Adam Steel

I think everyone who knows me knows that I have been “into” sports and fitness from a very young age. From cross country competitions during primary school, through to representing numerous local football teams throughout secondary school and college, sport is very much in my blood.

It wasn’t until the final year of university, however, where I started paying attention to sports and nutrition, and what influences and drives some of the best athletes in the world.

After graduating with a university with a degree in psychology, I am now an aspiring fitness instructor and am currently training to do my very first ultra-marathon and 100-mile sportive.

My passion in life is working with people and showing them how they can improve their lives through fitness; whether as an instructor or as the chief editor of Legwork.

If you have any questions on any of the fitness or nutrition posts on this site, then chances are you’ll be talking to me, so drop by and say hi: editor at legwork dot guide.

Luke Steel

Luke SteelLuke Steel is the name, and triathlon is my game!

I’ve been mad about cycling, running and swimming ever since I was a young boy. From mountain bikes to track bikes, and racing bikes to road bikes, I’ve always been fascinated by how different bikes respond to different environments and how you can have one for pretty much any kind of terrain.

Over the past ten years, I have been lucky enough to ride in some of the world’s most beautiful landscapes, including in and around Cape Town, Lanzarote, the Pyrenees, and of course, in the beautiful Scottish Highlands.

I’m lucky enough to love and live with someone who loves cycling as much as I do, although she doesn’t quite agree with my sentiment of n+1 when it comes to how many bikes I can have in the garage.

Throughout the Legwork site, you’ll see me reviewing some of the newest and hottest bikes on the high street, so hit me up if you’d like me to discuss a bike, workout, supplements or any topic that’s caught your eye. And yes, Adam is my twin brother before you ask me.

Sarah Barkley

Sarah BarkleyUnlike most fitness instructors and nutritionists, it wasn’t until my first year at university until I even looked at a sport.

All it took, however, was my flatmate and bestie to invite me to the netball tryouts for a bit of moral support. As it turns out, we both got in the team!

Since that fateful day, my life has been taken over by netball and my other “new” favorite sports, including hockey, basketball, and football.

Having taken food science at university, my passion is nutrition and sports, which is why you’ll often see my name under many of the food and nutrition articles on Legwork.

As the Health, Nutrition & Lifestyle editor, you’ll also see me sharing my thoughts, opinions, and experiences on an array of health, fitness, and lifestyle products.
