Prime Male Testosterone Booster Review – Worthy Investment?

Prime Male Review

Did you know that the average male loses testosterone at the rate of 1% per year after the age of 30?

That may not sound a lot, but when you work it out, it means you’re losing a fair bit in your middle ages!

This is why as you grow older you begin to tire more easily. You also don’t have the energy to get up and go, and in turn, your libido suffers.

Testosterone is the primary male hormone that provides you with the necessary energy to keep feeling fit and healthy, and the one that allows you to enjoy a valuable and vibrant sex life.

This is why many men look for a testosterone booster to help them keep in trim.

There are many such products on the market, so it is worth checking out the best ones before you try them.

To help you do the legwork, we took a look at a few, and we reckoned that Prime Male testosterone booster was worth a closer look, so the following post is our team’s Prime Male review.

What Prime Male Does

So, what is Prime Male? It is a testosterone boosting supplement made from a variety of natural substances, and it promises an array of benefits, among which are:

  • Greater levels of energy
  • Improved muscle strength
  • Weight loss
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Revitalized libido
  • Better moods

That’s not everything the manufacturers lay claim to, but the basics are there. How does it work? Let’s look at that in a little more detail.

Prime Male

How It Works

As with many such supplements, Prime Male uses a selection of carefully considered testosterone-boosting ingredients to provide the results required by users.

In this case, there are 12, and they are all natural extracts making this an entirely natural product.

The ingredients all combine to provide the biological reactions that lead to the anti-aging, weight loss and energy-boosting properties that the user is looking for.

So, let’s have a detailed look at each one, and how it helps.

The 12 ingredients in the Prime Male Testosterone Booster are as follows:

D-Aspartic Acid

D-AA is a neurotransmitter found in the body; this means that it is one of the elements that sends signals to the brain telling it what to do.

In the case of D-AA, this means demanding higher levels of luteinizing hormone, which is the hormone that regulates testosterone production in the testes.

It is also known to induce growth hormones and to stimulate hair growth.

The makers mention tests in which a group of men between the ages of 27 and 37 were given small daily doses of D-AA, and in which their testosterone levels increased by 42% in just 12 days [1].

It has also been tested on men with reduced fertility and returned impressive results.

In Prime Male, the D-AA is a soluble form known as calcium chelate, which aids absorption and makes it easier to take.

Boron

An amino acid that is helpful in many areas, including affecting the production of hormones, blood plasma, vitamin D and cognition.

In Prime Male, it is used in an amino acid chelate form, as this is the most readily available.

Tests are quoted in which the ingestion of boron daily was found to result in 28% more free testosterone than those who did not partake, and a notable reduction in estrogen levels [2].

BioPerine

In simple terms, this is black pepper or one of the elements in black pepper.

It is included in Prime Male as it helps aid absorption of the other ingredients, thus speeding up the process [3].

Korean Red Ginseng

Ginseng is one of many plants that has been used for many years in Eastern traditional medicine. It is now widely used in supplements for a wide variety of products.

Ginseng is included here as it helps produce nitric oxide, which improves blood flow and will also help with better erections – it has been used to treat male impotence [4].

The benefits of ginseng do not end there; in traditional medicine, in Korea and the East it is used as an energy booster, is believed to strengthen the immune system, and is a boost to a longer life.

Most of all, it’s prescribed for significant performance improvement, hence its inclusion in this product.

Luteolin

This is an essential ingredient; luteolin is a natural essence taken from citrus fruit. It is proven to reduce the amounts of estrogen in the male body [4].

Estrogen is the ‘female hormone’ – but is found in both men and women – and the levels of estrogen and testosterone tend to fluctuate following each other.

Put simply, too much estrogen means too little testosterone and vice versa.

Luteolin has been shown to limit a substance known as aromatase; this is the element that produces estrogen in the body.

It is also known to increase the activity of androgens, which in turn induce the production of testosterone.

Magnesium

There is a unique quality to magnesium in that it is an energy-rich compound.

All school children will have seen the bright white light that it produces when it burns. Magnesium is in Prime Male because of this energy.

There is another reason for including magnesium, and it’s this: naturally, your testosterone exists mostly – to the tune of 60% – within a protein known as your sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG).

This effectively means that 60% of your total testosterone is not readily available for use.

Magnesium is proven to lower the levels of SHBG in the body, therefore freeing up more testosterone for the uses you need it for.

Tests have been performed on athletes, in which that using magnesium, were found to have higher testosterone levels than those without [5].

It has also been tested on older men, where increased magnesium levels were found to correspond with higher testosterone production [6].

Prime Male Ingredients

Mucuna Pruriens Seed Extract

As well as estrogen, another ‘female hormone’ is also found in men. This is prolactin, and it also has the effect of reducing the testosterone level in the body.

Mucuna Pruriens is an extract from the seed of the plant of that name.

It has been proven to reduce prolactin levels and free up the testosterone, just as magnesium does [7].

But there’s more: this extract is also a natural source of levodopa, an amino acid that is known to increase testosterone production and also the hormone that induces growth.

Furthermore, this beneficial ingredient can also help in the reduction of cortisol [8].

This is the ‘stress hormone’, and increased stress means lowered testosterone.

Research has shown that cortisone can destroy testosterone [9], which is indeed not what we want!

Tests have shown this extract to help raise testosterone levels, and in increasing semen production.

Nettle Root Extract

Nettle is used in many traditional medicines for many reasons and is found in Prime Male because it is another substance that is known to reduce the level of SHBG (mentioned earlier) in the body [10].

This, therefore, frees up the testosterone that would typically be bound to the SHGB for use in the body.

The extract used is taken from the root of the nettle. This also includes further elements that are known to induce testosterone production.

Nettle root is also known to lower estrogen levels, and as we already know, this automatically increases the testosterone.

Vitamin B6

This is vital in helping produce testosterone, and here’s why: before your body starts to produce testosterone, it needs to create a precursor androgen hormone.

It is this hormone that signals the testes to begin producing testosterone. Vitamin B6 is also known to increase sexual performance [11] and to raise mood [12].

The presence of B6 is also very helpful in increasing and enabling the absorption of both magnesium and zinc, which are present in Prime Male, so adds benefit there.

Zinc

As we mentioned above, zinc is also present in Prime Male, as it is in many products that exist in this area.

Low levels of zinc result in a lack of luteinizing hormone [13] – which we have already talked about as a boost to testosterone production – and low zinc is quite a common problem.

It is worth noting that zinc is not stored in the body, so it needs to be taken in supplement form or a stable and healthy diet.

Vitamin D3

The ‘sunshine vitamin’, so called because its production is stimulated by exposure to the sun, is one that has many benefits.

It is regarded as being one of the elements that are essential to human existence.

The problem is that many of us do not spend enough time outdoors to generate enough D3 in the body. This is why it is a popular testosterone booster supplement.

Vitamin D is known to increase testosterone, and to reduce estrogen, and is an essential element in the Prime Male ingredients list [14].

Vitamin K2

Not only does Vitamin K2 help raise testosterone levels in solo, but it also works in conjunction with D3, increasing that vitamin’s potency [15].

That’s the list of 12 ingredients in Prime Male. Each has its properties and when combined with the others, helps to increase the testosterone in the body.

So, why Prime Male over other such products?

What Makes Prime Male Different?

The makers are very open with their ingredients list and why they have chosen the 12 substances that make up the product, which is a welcome move in a saturated market.

They also offer many examples of where the ingredients and their influences have been tested clinically, and with results attached.

As with most products of this type, there is always a worry that some of the ingredients may be in some way harmful.

With Prime Male this concern is eliminated, as all are natural elements and extracts that are either found in the body or regular food.

It is also refreshing to learn that Prime Male is produced in an FDA approved facility, so you have no worries there.

Prime Male Usage

Are There Any Side-Effects to Using Prime Male?

First, we shall repeat that this product includes only natural essences; there is nothing here that is likely to cause any side-effects unless the user knows they are allergic to one of the ingredients.

This is why we have included details of each ingredient.

Also, it is essential that if you suffer any conditions or are already taking medication, you consult a medical professional before you embark on using Prime Male.

The makers have strict instructions on how to take the product.

How To Take Prime Male

There is a set way to take Prime Male, which comes in pill form.

Quite simply, you take one pill four times a day, with food, and keep it up consistently for the best effects.

The manufacturer also states that you must not exceed the dosage, as the ingredients have been carefully measured and are sometimes the maximum you should take.

That’s a few of the questions that are often asked – there are many more at the maker’s website if you want to take a look. So, what is our ultimate conclusion?

What We Think

Put simply; Prime Male is packed with ingredients that are known and proven to increase the production of testosterone levels in the body.

They also reduce the levels of estrogen, which further aids testosterone.

The ingredients have been carefully formulated to perform this duty, and include vital elements such as the various vitamins plus zinc and magnesium.

There is plenty of evidence of clinical trials pointing to the success of the product for its intended purpose.

All products are natural, and there are no harmful elements, yet there are few downsides.

If we do have a possible problem that might put some people off, it’s that it is in pill form, which is not to everyone’s taste.

We don’t see the fact it is not available in the shops as a problem. It is straightforward to order online, and there are many popular payment options.

As for the price, Prime Male is – when compared to other products of this ilk – a premium product.

But it is not that much more expensive than some others, and you do get a useful discount if you order in bulk.

In short, if you want a product that increases testosterone, many testimonials are confirming its success, as well as the promise of proven ingredients that do the job.
